True Independence
TRUE INDEPENDENCE.
Independence not only mean freedom from the british rulers in 1947. It means freedom from a lot more - from freedom of raising voice against violence to freedom of living life to our own terms.
Freedom means so much to a woman. But if you ask any young women what's freedom. You'll hear silence.
Dear young woman out there, Am I right? or Are you really free? I don't think we really are because a young woman has no freedom to live her life as she want, no freedom to walk alone in the streets even in the day time, no freedom to speak up her choice, no freedom to choose when to marry,No freedom to choose her career which suits her.Yes, this is because women are being ruled, controlled, dominated and overshadowed by the society.
Dear patriarchal society, Freedom isn't simply achieving freedom from colonialism, it includes freedom from caste, race and gender discrimination too.If we haven't all these, we haven't achieved freedom at all. Don't set freedom to certain limits and boundaries. By doing so, you'll gain nothing but the lack of brave souls, courageous hearts, roaring voices and the talented brains. When you've confidence and trust in your child, when you support her to pursue the career she's dreaming of,when you encourage her take own decisions, then comes the true freedom to India.
Dear young woman,Freedom is not bound to societal restrictions or terms. You need not to bow down, step back or either feel guilt that you didn't meet the societal expectations. Freedom is completely your choice. It is about truly accepting yourself, trusting yourself, making bold moves and taking your own decisions over somebody else's opinions. Don't doubt, don't hesitate, don't wait for societal acceptance.Take stand, fight a bit extra, give wings to your dreams and choices to live the life you want.Walk with your head held high.No one can ever stop you.
